Ulefone has finally unveiled its latest rugged smartphone called Armor 2. It successor to Ulefone Armor that launched last year.
The phone has IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. It can survive at 1 meter depth in concrete for 24 hours or 1.5 meter water depth for an hour.
The smartphone measures 159 x 78.3 x 14.5 mm and weighs 270 grams. It has fingerprint sensor on home button, capable of unlocking in just 0.1 seconds.
The Ulefone Armor 2 rugged body is bad from flexible TPU, metal and glass fiber reinforced poly-carbonate. There are protective nubs at the corners and sports highly company and sealed structure. The handset is claimed to last in temperature ranges from -40 to 80 degrees.
The cell phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS. It comes with SOS button, Shutter button and PTT button. Company has also included Barometer sensor that can measure altitude and air pressure in real time.
The Ulefone Armor 2 specs include 5-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection as well for added durability.
Under the hood is 2.6GHz octa-core 64-bit 16nm MediaTek Helio P25 processor with Mali-T880 GPU. It has 6GB LPDDR4 RAM, 64GB internal storage and allows further expansion up to 256GB using MicroSD card.
The mobile comes with 8MP front camera which is interpolated to 13MP and has F/2.0 Aperture. Primary camera at the back is of 16MP. It has F/2.0 Aperture, dual-tone LED Flash and supports Auto Focus as well.
