Acer Chromebook 15 lineup announced

Acer has announced its new Chromebook 15 lineup for the year 2017. It consists of two new models – Chromebook 15 CB515-1H and CB515-1HT.
They have improved design and sports an aluminum top shell. It is premium looking, comes with palm rest and sports fan-less design. These model have dimensions of 378 x 256 x 18.9 mm (width x depth x height) and weighs  about 3.79 pound. The figures makes them the thinnest and lightest Acer Chromebooks till date.
The Chromebook 15 CB515-1H features 15.6-inch touch screen display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The model CB515-1HT has the same 15.6-inch screen 1080p display but lacks touch screen capabilities.
They will have several hardware options. For instance, you can get Intel Celeron dual-core model or Celeron quad-core Model. They also have 4GB / 8GB RAM and 32GB / 64GB storage options.
The battery inside them is rated to offer 12 hours of usage on a single full charge. It has upward facing speakers for enhanced audio. There is a HD camera (at center, just above the screen) that offers 88-degree FOV.
As you may expect, the Chromebook 15 is compatible with Android Applications. It supports up to 128GB SD cards and USB type-C port.
Price of Chromebook 15 starts at $399 in North America and €499 in EMEA. Acer did not reveal exact dates of availability but has confirmed that they will be up for grabs during October 2017.
