Acer Inc. a hardware / software / service company and Starbreeze, an independent creator, publisher and distributor of high quality entertainment products have come together to develop and launch StarVR headsets.
Both the companies have signed letter of intent to form a joint venture for StarVR Virtual Reality (VR) Head-Mounted Display (HMD). Both the company aim to cooperate on the design, manufacturing, promotion, marking and sales of Start VR HMD to professional and location based entertainment market.

Starbreeze first launched the Star VR at Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2015 after its acquisition of Infinite Eye. Company also introduced location based StarCade Initiative that includes VR Centres that allows customers to have VR experience.
The letter of intent announced today is based on ongoing discussions regarding a definitive agreement to form joint venture and is subject to the parties ‘board approval’.
