Alcatel A50 smartphone lands in Canada for CAD $240

Alcatel A50 Android Smartphone has made its way in to Canada. It will be available at Koodo and TELUS mobile carriers in the country.
The phone measures 5.75 x 2.83 x 0.31 inches and weighs 5.14 oz. It supports 4G VoLTE and is powered by 2800 mAh battery. The battery is said to offer about 13 hours of talk time.
The Alcatel A50 specs include 5.2-Inch IPS LCD display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. It uses 2D touch technology, has Dragontrail glass and supports multi-touch.
Internal hardware consists of 1.5GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 Quad-core processor coupled with Mali-T860 MP2 GPU and 2GB RAM. It has 16GB of internal memory and allows further expansion up to 128GB using MicroSD card.
The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS. It has 2MP front camera with LED Flash. On the back side is an 8MP shooter with dual-tone LED Flash, Auto Focus, 74-degree lens and 1080p video recording.
Alcatel A50 image 1Connectivity wise, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V4.2, GPS/A-GPS/GLONASS, FM Radio, 3.5mm Audio jack etc. It has 1W speaker as well along with array of sensors (Accelerometer, Proximity, Light, E-Compass).
The Alcatel A50 is priced at CAD $240 and will be available at TELUS and Koodo. You can also get it on a two year term contract. The handset comes with three SNAPBAK covers (LightUp, Power, Sound) and will start shipping from August 18th.
Taking a quick over of SNAPBAK covers, LightUP actually lights up when some one likes or follows you on Social Media. It also allows one to customize one to customize Lights according to different Social Notifications.

The Power cover can increase battery to 5900 mAh capacity, allowing one to use it for long hours. The Sound SNAPBAK, as the name suggests amplifies phone’s sound with 2.5W speakers.
