MetroPCS has added a new budget Android Phone in its Smartphone line-up called the Alcatel Tru.  It seems to be rebranding of Alcatel Pop 3 that launched last year.

The Alcatel Tru specs include 5-Inch display with 854 x 480 pixels FWVGA resolution, and comes with Asahi glass. It has 1.1GHz quad core Cortex-A7 Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 SoC with Adreno 304 GPU.
The phone is backed by 1GB RAM, 8GB storage ROM and MicroSD card slot for further expansion.  The mobile is equipped with 2MP fixed focus camera on the front. On the back is 5MP main camera with Polaroid enhanced camera software. It has LED flash and supports Auto Focus.
The Handset is powered by 2000mAh battery that gives about 1 hours talk time and 400 hours of standby. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Wi-Fi calling, Bluetooth V4.0, MicroUSB V2.0, GPS, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc.
Alcatel TRU is available at participating MetroPCS stores across US. It is priced at just US$ 29.
Steve Cistulli, President and General Manager for Alcatel, North America said –
