Amazfit has unveiled its latest rugged outdoor GPS smartwatch called T-Rex 2. The wearable is successor to T-Rex and comes with larger battery than its predecessor.

Amazfit T-Rex 2 specs, features

The smartwatch measures 47.1 x 47.1 x 3.65 mm and weighs 66.5 grams. It has Polymer Alloy body and comes with 10ATM water-resistant rating. The wearable also sports a MIL-STD-810G military grade durability. The T-Rex2 has 22mm silicone strap with 140mm – 205mm (min – max) dimensions.

The Amazfit T-Rex 2 feature in a 1.39-inch AMOLED touch screen display that offers 454 x 454 pixels resolution at 326ppi pixel density. It uses Bluetooth V5.0 for connectivity with smartphones. The watch is compatible with most Android 7.0+ and iOS 12.0+ powered smartphones.

The T-Rex 2 comes with BioTracker 3.0 PPG biometrics sensor (supports SpO2, 6PD) and houses several sensors like Acceleration, Gyroscope, Geomagnetic sensor, Barometric altimeter and Ambient light sensor.

It comes with dual-bad GPS and 5 satellite positioning system. It monitors 24 hours of heart rate, blood oxygen, stress levels, sleep stages and brings support for PAI health assessment system.

The T-Rex2 comes with more than 158 sports modes and supports smart recognition of 15 strength training movements and 8 sports movements. It has Advanced Track Run mode, smart trajectory correction and virtual pacer.

This rugged Amazfit watch houses a 500mAh (typical) battery chargeable in about 2 hours using magnetic 2-pin pogo pin. The battery is said to offer up to 24 hours of typical usage and extends to 45 days with battery saver mode. The accuracy GPS mode gives up to 26 hours, while balanced GPS mode offers up to 50 hours of usage.

Amazfit T-Rex 2 price and availability

The Huami Amazfit T-Rex 2 is priced at $299 (Rs. 17,750 approx.) and comes in Astro Black & Gold, Ember Black, Wild Green and Desert khaki colors. It is already up for order in US markets.
