Amazon has launched its Echo Show 8 smart speaker in India. It comes with Amazon Alexa which has over 30000 skills in English and over 800 Hindi skills.
The Amazon Echo Show 8, as the name suggests, comes with an 8-inch HD display and includes a 1MP front facing camera for video calling. Users can easily make video calls with friends and family using Skype or using Alexa App. There is a built-in shutter to cover camera.
The device measures 7.9 x 5.4 x 3.9 inch and weighs about 1037 grams. It has 2-inch (52mm) neodymium speakers with passive bass radiator and gets processing power from MediaTek MT8163 SoC. It has Dual Band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac support and 3.5mm jack as well.
It also easily connects with other Echo Devices, make voices calls or send messages. The Echo Show 8 can also voice control or manage compatible devices (also via its display).
It can control lights, AC and other electronics and also check on security cameras. Users can also access make quick announcements or check on the kids.
These are not the only features. If you want to be master chef, the Echo Show 8 shows step-by-step recipes. One can also electronically disconnect microphones and camera just with a press of a button.
