Amazon’s All-New Fire HD 8 Tablet launched, Price starts at $89.99

Amazon has launched refresh version of its Fire HD 8 tablet and they are calling it All-New Fire HD 8 Tablet. It has better specifications than its predecessor.
The All-New Fire HD 8 features an 8-inch IPS LCD display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution and 189ppi pixel density. Under the hood is 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1.5GB of RAM.
It comes in 16GB and 32GB storage options, but expandable up to 200GB using MicroSD card. Amazon has also noted that it will add Alexa (cloud based voice service) functionality to its All-New Fire HD 8 tablet via software upgrade. It will roll out in coming months. users will be able to access Alexa holding home button and ask it play music, games, search etc.

The device runs on Fire OS 5 and allows screen sharing as well. In terms of measurements, the tablet measures 214 x 128 x 9.2 mm and weighs about 341 grams. It is equipped with VGA front camera and 2MP main snapper on the back with 720p video recording capabilities.

The battery inside is capable of lasting up to 12 hours of mixed usage (reading, surfing web, video, music). It also supports Dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and is equipped with Stereo speakers with Dolby Audio.
The Amazon All-New Fire HD 8 Tablet price starts at US$ 89.99 for 16GB and 119.99 for 32GB storage variants. Both the models are currently up for pre-order and will go on sale from September 21, 2016. They come in Black, Blue, Magenta and Tangerine colors.
