AMD has officially unveiled its latest Ryzen 5000 Series processor for Desktops. Company is touting it as Fastest Gaming CPU in the world. All of these will roll out from November 5th.
AMD 500 series motherboards are ready for AMD Ryzen 5000 Series desktop processors with a simple BIOS update. This broad ecosystem support and readiness includes over 100 AMD 500 series motherboards from all major motherboard manufacturers.
The lineup includes Ryzen 5 5600X, Ryzen 7 5800X, Ryzen 9 5900X and Ryzen 9 5950X processors. These are powered by new “Zen 3” architechture which delivers a 19% generational increase in instructions per cycle (IPC), the largest since the introduction of “Zen” processor in 2017.
The base AMD Ryzen 5 5600X comes with 6 cores and 12 threads. It has TDP of 65W with base clock speeds of 3.7GHz which boost up to 4.6GHz. It has 35MB total cache and comes with Wraith Stealth color. It is priced at $299.
The second in line is AMD Ryzen 7 5800X which has 8 cores and 16 threads. Its TDP is 105W with base clock speed of 3.8GHz and boost up to 4.7GHz. It has 36MB cache and does not include a cooler. It is priced at $449.
The AMD Ryzen 9 5900X features in 12 cores with 24 threads, boasting a base clock speed of 3.7GHz and boost frequency of 4.8GHz. It has 105W TDP and sports 70MB cache. It comes without a cooler and is priced at $549.
Most premium of the lot is AMD Ryzen 9 5950X which houses 16 cores with 32 threads. It has 105W TDP with 3.4GHz base clock frequency and boost frequency of up to 4.9GHz. It has 72MB cache and excludes a bundled cooler. It is priced at $799.
