Apple iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max announced

Apple, along with iPhone 13 Mini and iPhone 13, has also announced iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max mobiles at its Keynote.

Both of these come in Graphite, Gold, Silver and Sierra Blue colors. These have Ceramic Shield front, Textured Matte Glass back and Stainless steel design.

For starters, these come in 128GB / 256GB / 512GB / 1TB storage options. They have IP68 water resistant rating and can survive at depths of 6 meters up to 30 minutes.

The Apple iPhone 13 Pro measures 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.65 mm and weighs 204 grams. It has 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR all-screen OLED display with ProMotion and offers resolution of 2532 x 1170 pixels at 460ppi pixel density.

The Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max has dimensions of 160.8 x 78.1 x 7.65 mm and has weight of 240 grams. It comes with a larger 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR all-screen OLED display with Promotion. It has 2778 x 1284 pixels resolution and 458ppi pixel density.

Both of these screen has ProMotion Technology with adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It has support for HDR, True Tone, Wide P3 colors, Haptic touch, 2000000:1 (typ) contrast ratio, 100nits (typ max) brightness / 1200nits (typ HDR Max) brightness. Their screen have Fingerprint resistant Oleophobic coating on top.

The iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max models are powered by A15 Bionic chipset. It has 6-core CPU with 2 performance and 4 efficiency cores, 5-core GPU and new 16-core Neural Engine.

Both of these models have overhauled triple rear cameras. These make up of 1MP wide-angle (f/1.5) camera with 7P lens and Sensor‑shift optical image stabilization. It can record videos with Dolby Vision at 4K 60 fps, Slo‑mo 1080p at 240fps. There is a secondary 12MP 120° Ultra Wide (f/1.8) camera with 5P lens. There is a third 12MP Telephoto camera with f/2.8 aperture with 3x optical zoom for a total 6x optical zoom range and supports Night mode portraits enabled by LiDAR Scanner.

At the front side is a 12MP TrueDepth camera with Retina Flash, F/2.2 Aperture and supports 4K video at 60fps and slo-mo 1080p at 120fps. The Trudepth camera has support for FaceID facial recognition.

The Apple iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max has dual SIM support (nano + eSIM). These come with rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery and supports MagSafe 15W wireless fast charging and 7.5W Qi Wireless charging. It has support for fast charging and can go up to 50% in 30 minutes using 20W adapter or higher (available separately).

The iPhone 13 Pro offers up to 22 hours video playback / up to 20 hours video streaming and up to 75 hours of audio. The iPhone 13 Pro Max is rated to give up to 28 hours of video / up to 25 hours of streaming / up to 95 hours of audio.

For connectivity, it has 5G (sub-6GHz) / Gigabit-class LTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax with 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth V5.0, NFC with Reader Mode, Ultra-wideband Chip for spatial awareness and GPS/GLONASS/Balileo/QZSS/Beidou for positioning.
