Apple Watch Series 2 goes official

First Apple watch started shipping 18 months and now it supports Apple Pay as well. Today, Cupertino giant has unveiled its next generation Apple Watch Series 2 along with its latest iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus phones.
The Series 2 watch has an aluminum case with sport band or woven nylon band. It also comes in Stainless steel case with Sport Band, stainless steel band or leather band. Moreover it is water resistant up to 50 meters and is swim proof. It is robust enough to sustain for years of swimming
The smartwatch is powered by 2nd-gen S2 SiP Dual core processor  which is 50% faster while its GPU is 2X powerful than the S1 It comes with built-in GPS.

The Apple Watch Series 2 features second generation OLED Retina display with force touch support. The screen is 2 time brighter at 1000nits and comes with sapphire crystal (Stainless steel and ceramic cases), Ion-X glass aluminum casing. The screen gives 272 x 340 pixels or 312 x 39 pixel resolution.
It has built-in Lithium-ion rechargeable battery that offesr up to 18 hours of usage. It is equipped with Hear rate sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope and Ambient light sensors. Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth V4.0 are also supported.

Apple has also announced Apple Watch Nike plus edition aimed at runners. It can track speed, distance, route etc. even when your phone is not with you. All the metrics are displayed on the bright screen and are easy to read even in sun glares. It is also water resistant up to 50 meters.
The particular Nike+ edition comes with durable, lightweight fluoroelastomer. It has exclusive Nike watch faces and supports Nike+ Run Club application. It can track progress, receive reminders, current weather  and allows haring your workout data with friends. Other specifications are the same as Apple Watch Series 2.
