ARCHOS announces Diamond Alpha, Diamond Gama, Sense 55S, Sense 50X smartphones

French smartphone maker ARCHOS has announced four new smartphones for European markets. Of the lot are two new members in its Diamond Series called ARCHOS Diamod Alpha and Diamond Gamma. The other fall under its Sense Series and are called Sense 55s and the Sense 50x.

ARCHOS Diamond Alpha

The phone packs in 5.2-Inch IPS multi-touch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It has an octa-core (1.8GHz A72 x 4 + 1.4GHz A53 x 4) Snapdragon 652 processor with Adreno 510 (550MHz) GPU.
It has 4 GB LPDDR3 RAM. Internal storage space is of 64GB and is further expandable up to 256GB using MicroSD Card. The mobile runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
The ARCHOS Diamond Alpha Specs include 16MP fixed focus camera at the front. On the back side is dual camera setup (with Sony Sensors) consisting of 13MP (Color) + 13MP (B&W) cameras. Auto Focus is also supported.
The smartphone houses 2950 mAH Li-Ion non-removable battery. Connectivity options include 4G LTE (Dual Nano SIM slots), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, WI-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.2 LE, GPS, USB Type 2.0 etc.
The ARCHOS Diamond Alpha will be available from July 2017 at €299 (after a cash discount of 50€).

ARCHOS Diamond Gamma

It has a larger 5.5-inch IPS 2.5D glass display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. The screen offers 278ppi pixel density, 320nits brightness and supports 5-point multi-touch as well.
The ARCHOS Diamond Gamma specs include octa-core (1.4GHz A53 x 4 + 1.1GHz A53 x 4) Snapdragon 435 processor with Adreno 505 (475MHz) GPU.
It has 3GB LPDDR3 RAM, 32GB internal memory and allows further expansion up to 128GB using MicroSD Card.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Nubia UI 4.0 comes pre-installed. It supports Edge Gestures, SuperSnap, Neovision 6, Apps cloning DTS Sound effect, Split screen etc.
It has Dual Nano SIM slots and supports 4G LTE at Cat.4 speeds. The Diamond Gamma features in 5MP fixed focus camera on the front with F/2.4 Aperture.
On the back side is 13MP primary shooter wht Samsung 3L8 Sensor, F/2.2 Aperture, Auto Focus, LED Flash and 1080p video recording support.
The battery inside is of 3000 mAh Li-Ion capacity and is non removable. The mobile has proximity sensor, light sensor, G-Sensor and compass.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotsopt, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth V4.2 LE, GPS, USB OTG, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc.
The ARCHOS Diamond Gamma is priced at €199 and will be available in July 2017.

ARCHOS Sense 55s

The  mobile comes pre-installed with Android 7.0 Nougat OS. There is a fingerprint sensor on the back for added security.
It has 5.5-Inch IPS borderless display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It has 78% screen-to-body ratio and delivers luminescent colors.
We have no info about Chipset however, we do know that it has 2GB RAM. Inside is 16GB internal memory and allows further expansion up to 128GB using MIcroSD card.
The ARCHOS Sense 55s specs include dual-cameras with dual-tone LED Flash  on the back consisting of 8MP + 8MP. It’s 3000 mAh battery powers the hardware.
Connectivity options should include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS,3.5mm Audio Jack etc.
The ARCHOS Sense 55s will cost €249 and will be available in July 2017.

ARCHOS Sense 50X

This is a rugged smartphone with IP68 rating. It can work in extreme temperatures ranging from 20C° to +55C° and is scratch resistant. It can even sustain water submersions for 30 minutes and drops from up to 1 meter.
It has 5-Inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection as well for added durability. Under the hood is 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737T processor.
There is 3GB RAM, 32GB Internal memory and allows further expansion up to 128GB using MicroSD card. It is powered by 35000 mAh battery. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS.
The ARCHOS Sense 50X is priced at €169 and will be available in July 2017.
