ASUS Chromebook Detachable CZ1 (CZ1000) unveiled with Kompanio 500 SoC

ASUS has unveiled its new detachable Chromebook called Chromebook Detachable CZ1 (CZ1000). As the name suggests, its screen is detachable and can be used as a tablet.

The Asus Chromebook Detachable CZ1 measures 256.4 x 168.2 x 8.9 – 9 mm and weighs 500 grams. It comes with MIL-STD 810H military grade durability and houses anti-collision rubber strips around.

The Chromebook CZ1 sports soft keyboard with 1.5mm key travel. It comes with 10.1-inch LCD touch screen offering 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution at 16:10 aspect ratio, 400nits brightness and 100% sRGB color gamut. It has TÜV Rheinland Eye Care certification as well.

The Chromebook Detachable CZ1 (CZ1000) is powered by Octa-core (up to 2GHz) MediaTek Kompanio 500 processor with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. It has 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and has 64GB / 128GB eMMC 5.1 storage options. It has memory card slot as well for further storage expansion.

Powering by default is Chrome OS out of the box. It has 27Wh 2-cell battery which offers up to 11 hours of battery life. It comes with 45W AC adapter. For optics, CZ1 houses 2MP front and 8MP rear cameras.

It has support for Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth V4.2, USB 2.0 Type-C and 3.5mm audio jack. There is a built-in speaker, a microphone and Google Assistant support.

The ASUS Chromebook Detachable CZ1 (CZ1000) price for 64GB variant is set at NT$ 9,900 ($353 / Rs. 26,300 approx.) and comes in Black color.
