ASUS has officially launched ROG Phone 3 gaming smartphone. It has a slightly simple design than ROG Phone 2 and comes with 5G (SA/NSA) support.
The phone has measurements of 171 x 78 x 9.85 mm and weighs 240 grams. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor for fast unlocking. It has Dual Nano Slots and runs on Android 10 with ROG UI.
The ASUS ROG Phone 3 features in 6.59-inch 10-bit HDR OLED display with 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 144Hz refresh rate, 270Hz touch sampling rate and 25ms low latency. The screen delivers dE<1%, 113% DCI-P3 color, 10000:1 contrast ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection.
Under the hood is octa-core Snapdragon 865+ mobile platform with Adreno 650 GPU. It comes in options of 8GB LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB UFS 3.1 storage, 12GB LPDDR5 RAM with 256GB UFS 3.1 storage and 12GB/16GB LPDDR5 RAM with 512GB UFS 3.1 storage space. ROM is non expandable.
To keep hardware cool, ROG Phone 3 sports a new re-designed Copper 3D Vapor chamber with larger graphite film and 6x larger heat sink for optimum heat dissipation. For gaming, it has ultrasonic bumper shoulder buttons with haptic feedback. It uses AirTrigger 3 technology which allows sliding, swiping and allows partition on button for tapping. There is single shake to from controlling on-screen input and allows 5 different actions as well.
The ASUS ROG Phone 3 specs include 24MP front camera with F/2.0 Aperture and 0.9um pixel size. At the back side, you get triple camera setup which includes 64MP (main, Sony IMX686 sensor, F/1.8 Aperture, 0.8um pixels) + 13MP (125-degree ultra-wide angle lens, F/2.4) + 5MP (macro, F/2.0). The smartphone records 8K videos at 30fps, 4K videos at 60fps and slow motion 4K at 120fps / 1080p at 240fps.

The ASUS ROG Phone 3 will be available in India at Flipkart starting August 6th. It comes with Aero case and 30W hyper charger. The 12GB/16GB RAM with 512GB storage variant will be available in select markets only.
The ROG Phone 3 will be available in September 2020 in North America. The ROG Falchion will be available in Q4 2020 in North America. The ROG Cetra RGB will be available in September 2020 in North America.
