ASUS has officially unveiled its latest ROG Series gaming smartphone called ROG Phone 5s. Along with it, company also unveiled ROG Phone 5s Pro. Both of these models basically have same specifications with slight aesthetic differences.
The ROG Phone 5s comes with ROG RGB lighting logo at back side. The ROG Phone 5s Pro is equipped with ROG Vision Color PMOLED display and RGB Lighting logo at back. The color lighting of logo can be changed to suite your mood. The PRO model comes with AeroActive Cooler 5 inside the box.
The ASUS ROG Phone 5s / 5s Pro both measure 172.8 x 77.2 x 10.29 mm and weighs 238 grams. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometrics. The cellphone features in ultrasonic sensors for AirTrigger 5 and has grip press detection.
These ROG Phone 5s series comes with array of audio enhancements. It has quad-microphones with OZO Noise Reduction tech. These also feature Dual 7-magnet 12×16 mm Linear front facing speakers with GameFX and Dirac HD sound, ESS Sabre ES9280AC Pro with HyperStream II QUAD DAC architecture and dual Cirrus Logic CS35L45 Mono AMP.
The ROG Phone 5s and Pro models have 6.78-inch 10-bit OLED HDR10+ display offering 2448 x 1080 pixels resolution at 20.4:9 aspect ratio, 144Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, 24.3ms touch latency, 111% DCI-P3 colors and 150.89% sRGB color gamut. The screen offers 1,000,000:1 Contrast ratio, 5nits to 800nits (at APL100) or 1200nis (at APL1) brightness and sports Delta E average <1%. These mobiles have Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection on top.
Powering inside ROG 5s series is Octa-Core Snapdragon 888+ mobile platform with Adreno 660 GPU. They come in options of 16GB LPDDR5 RAM with 256GB UFS 3.1 storage and 18GB LPDDR5 RAM with 512GB UFS 3.1 storage space. Phone comes pre-installed with Android 11 and ROG UI on top.
In terms of cameras, both mobiles have 24MP front camera with F/2.0 Aperture and 0.9um pixel size. At the back side are triple cameras. These include 64MP main with Sony IMX686 sensor, F/1.8 Aperture and 0.8um pixel size. There is a second 13MP 125-degree ultra-wide camera with F/2.4 Aperture. There camera is a 5MP macro lens with F/2.0 Aperture. The ROG Phone 5s and Pro models support 8K at 30fps, 4K at 60fps and slow-motion 4K/1080p at 120/240fps.
Powering inside the ROG Phone 5s / ROG Phone 5s Pro is a huge 6000mAh (typical) / 5800mAh (minimum) battery capacity. It supports 65W HyperCharge fast charging, 30W QC4.0, PD 3.0 and Direct Charge adapter.
The ASUS ROG Phone 5s / 5s Pro offers dual SIM connectivity (nano slots) and supports 5G (SA/NSA) and dual 4G VoLTE. They also support Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.2, USB Type-C, NFC, Dual band GPS/GLONASS/Beidou/Galileo/QZSS/NavIC and 3.5mm audio jack.

The ASUS ROG Phone 5s color options include Phantom Black and Aurora Whie shades. The ROG Phone 5s Pro comes in single Phantom Black colors. Both mobile phones are up for order in Taiwan and will go on sale from August 24th.
