ASUS has officially announced its latest ROG Phone 6D smartphone. The handset comes in based ROG Phone 6D and ROG Phone 6D Ultimate options. It is offered in single Space Gray color option.
ASUS ROG Phone 6D specs and features
The phone comes in dimensions of 173 x 77 x 10.4 mm. The base 6D weighs 239 grams while the 6D Ultimate edition weighs 247 grams. These models come with IPX4 splash resistant rating.
The ROG Phone 6D comes with RGB (ROG) lighting logo at back. The Ultimate Edition 6D comes with PMOLED display at back with AeroActive portal. Technically, it has a slotted hinge that delivers better air flow inside chassis.
These come with dual Nano SIM slots and support 5G SA/NSA and dual 4G VoLTE. The handset runs on Android 12 with ROG UI / Zen UI. These pack in ultrasonic sensors for AirTrigger 6 and offers grip press detection. An in-display fingerprint sensor is included for better security.
The ROG Phone 6D / 6D Ultimate specs include 6.78-inch AMOLED display that offers 2448 x 1080 pixels Full HD+ resolution, 20.4:9 aspect ratio, 165Hz refresh rate and 720Hz touch sampling rate. Additionally, it has 10-bit HDR, 150.89% sRGB / 111.23% DCI-P3 color gamut, 1000000:1 contrast ratio, 5nits – 800nits (@APL100) / 1200nits (HBM @ APL1) brightness and <1% Delta-E coverage. The screen comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection on top.
Powering inside is an octa-core (up to 3.2GHz) MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ processor with Mali-G710 MC10 GPU. The ROG Phone 6D feature in 16GB LPDDR5X RAM with 256GB storage. The ROG Phone 6D Ultimate packs in 16GB LPDDR5X RAM with 512GB Storage space.
In terms of cameras ROG Phone 6D series has a 12MP front camera with Sony IMX663 sensor. At the back side are triple cameras with LED Flash and 8K video at 30fps, 4K at 60fps and slow motion 4K at 120fps / 1080p at 240fps support. These cameras include 50MP (main, 1/1.56-inch Sony IMX766 sensor, F/1.9 Aperture, 1um pixel size) + 13MP (125-dgree ultra-wdie, F/2.4) + 5MP (macro, F/2.0) lenses.
These come with a dual-cell 6000mAh (typical) / 5800mAh (minimum) battery with 65W fast charging (PD 3.0) support. For connectivity, it has Wi-Fi 6E 802.11ax, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.3, USB Type-C, NFC, dual-band GPS/GLONASS/Beidou/Galileo/QZSS, NFC and 3.5mm audio jack.
For battery audio there is Qualcomm WCD9385 chip for Hi-Res audio. There are symmetrical dual front-facing speakers with Dirac HD sound, 5-magnet stereo speakers with Cirrus Logic amplifiers.
