Back in July, ASUS announced its ROG gaming phone at Computex 2018 event in Taiwan. Today, the handset bearing model ASUS_Z01QD got certified by TENAA, a compulsory Chinese Certification Authority.
Initial announcement noted that ROG gaming phone will come with 8GB RAM. However, the ASUS_Z01QD model certified by TENAA hints that it will have 4GB / 6GB RAM variants as well. The handset comes in 128GB / 512GB storage options.
One more thing that got our attention is its cameras. Original ROG phone came with dual camera setup which is 12MP + 8MP shooter and 8MP front camera. The ASUS-Z01QD listed by TENAA mentions only 12MP single rear camera and 8MP selfie shooter.
Apart from that, other specifications are more ore less the same. They include 6-inch multi-touch display with 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. It has 2.96GHz octa-core Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform with Adreno 630 GPU.
The hardware is powered by 3850 mAh battery (Minimum). The mobile measures 158.83 x 76.16 x 8.65 mm and weighs about 200 grams.
sual connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ad, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz) 2X2 MU-MIMO, Bluetooth V5.0, USB Type-C, NFC, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou and FM Radio will be supported.
