Aimed at hardcore gamers, ASUS has unveiled ROG Zephyrus GX501 ultra-slim gaming laptop. It is 17.9mm thick and weighs about 2.24 Kg.
It has 15.6-inch G-Sync display with refresh rates up to 120Hz. It has 1920 x 1080 pixels resolutions, cuts input lags, making the game feel more responsive. The G-Sync feature keeps the display synchronized with GPU, thus eliminating visual tears and minimizing the shutter.
The Laptops IPS-type panel produces vivid images, retains colors and offers wide viewing angles. The display covers full sRGB color gamut, allowing one to use laptop even for photo editing and video editing.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus GX501 offers configurations up to Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor coupled with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics. To ensure smooth performance and prevent over heating, ASUS engineers and designers have developed unique feature called Active Aerodynamic System (AAS).
This gaming laptop from ASUS has keyboard tuned specially for gaming. Its keys have been moved closer to front edges to provide more desktop like positioning for hands.The key switches have also been tweaked and moved closer to tactile bump in the stroke. It also features anti-ghosting technology that tracks up to 30 simultaneous presses with precision. Apart from that Aura RGB Keyboard backlighting offers ranges of colors and effects. The trackpad transforms into an illuminated number-pad for convenient data entry.
The laptop features in reversible Type-C port that reaches up to 40Gbps to Tunderbold devices. Users can also connect large screen TVP’s using HDMI 2.0 port (4k signals at 60Hz). There are four Type-A USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, 3.5mm headset jack and 50Wh battery inside to power the hardware.
The ROG Zephyrus GX501 will be available in USA and Canada by the end of June.
