ASUS has officially announced its latest Zenfone 4 Series smartphones at an event in Taiwan. The series include Zenfone 4 (ZE554KL), Zenfone 4 Selfie (ZD553KL), Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro (ZD552KL) and Zenfone 4 Max Pro (ZC554KL).
All of these Android Smartphones will first launch in Asia. Other markets are soon to follow. Exact details on availabality of Zenfone 4 series in other markets were not revealed.
ASUS ZenFone 4 (ZE554KL)
The phone measures 155.36 x 75.24 x 7.7 mm and weighs 165 grams. It has fingerprint sensor, Hybrid Dual SIM slots (micro + nano / microSD) and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS with Zen UI 4.0.
It has 5.5-Inch Super IPS+ display with 2.5D curved glass. It has 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass protection for added scratch resistance.
The 6GB RAM variant gets processing power from an octa-core (2.2GHz Kryo 260 x 4 + 1.8GHz Kryo 260 x 4) Snapdragon 660 14nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 512 GB.
The ASUS ZenFone 4 ZE554KL specs also inlude 64GB Internal storage, which is further expandable up to 1TB using MicroSD card.
There is an 8MP selfie camera with F/2.0 Aperture, 84-degree FOV and 24mm focal length. On the back side is a 12MP shooter with dual-tone LED Flash, Sony IMX362 sensor, 1/2.55-inch sensor size, 4-axis OIS and 1.4μm pixel size. Thre is a secondary 8MP rear camera with 120-degree wide anlge lens.
The phone also features in dual speakers with Hi-Res Audio at 192kHz/ 24 -bit, supports DTS and 7.1 virtual surround sound for headphones. It als comes with dual internal microphones and ASUS noise reduction technology.
A 3300 mAh battery powers the hardware. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.0, GPS/GLONAS, USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 1, NFC etc.
The ASUS Zenfone 4 ZE554KL price starts at US$ 399 (Rs. 25,600) and comes in Moonlight White, Midnight Black and Mint Green colors.
ASUS Zenfone 4 Pro (ZS551KL)
This one is the most premium one of the lot. Measuring in at 156.9 x 75.6 x 7.6 mm (weight of 175 grams), the Zenfone 4 Pro features in a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
The ASUS ZenFone 4 Pro ZS551KL specs include an octa-core Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform with Adreno 540 GPU. It has 6GB RAM and comes in 64GB / 128GB storage options.
The mobile features in Hyrbd Dual SIM slots (micro + nano / microSD) and runs runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS with Zen UI 4.0 on top. It has dual internal microphones with ASUS noise reduction technology as well.
Other specifications of ASUS ZenFone 4 Pro (ZS551KL) include 8MP front camera with Sony IMX319 sensor, F/1.9 Aperture, 87.4-degree FOV and 1.4μm pixel size.
On the back side is 12MP (Sony IMX362 sensor, 1/2.55 inch sensor size, 1.4μm pixels, F/1.8 Aperture, 4-axis OIS, Dual Pixels) + 16MP (Sony IMX351 sensor, 2X optical Zoom) dual rear cameras with Dual Tone LED Flash.

The ASUS ZenFone 4 Pro ZS551KL price starts at US$ 599 (Rs. 38,450 approx.) and comes in Moonlight White and Pure Black colors.
Zenfone 4 Selfie (ZD553KL)
This handset runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS with ZenUI 4.0. It has dual Nano Hybrid Slots which doubles up for MicroSD card. The device measures 155.66 x 76.2 x 7.85 mm and weighs 144 grams.
The phone packs in 5.5-Inch IPS 2.5D curved glass display with 1280 x 720 pixles resolution. It is powered by 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 430 Mobile Platform and comes with Adreno 505 GPU.
The Zenfone 4 Selfie ZD553KL specs include 4GB RAM, 64BG ROM and allows further expansion up to 128GB via MicroSD card. It has fingerprint sensor embedded on home button.
Connectivity wise, it supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/GLONASS etc.
The ASUS Zenfone 4 Selfie ZD553KL price starts at US$ 279 (Rs. 17,900 approx.) and comes in Deepsea Black, Mint Green, Sunlight Gold and Rose Pink colors.
ASUS Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro (ZD552KL)
The pro variant has dimensions of 154.02 x 74.83 x 6.85 mm and weighs about 147 grams. It has fingerprint sensor at the front and houses Hybrid dual Nano SIM slots.
The ASUS Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro ZD552KL specs include 5.5-Inch AMOLED screen with over 100% NTSC colro gamut. It has 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
At its core is a 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 (14nm) Mobile Platform SOC with Adreno 506 GPU. It is backed by 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, which is further expandable up to 128GB.
The Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro features in 5 magnet speakers with NXP Smart AMP. It als supports DTS Audio delivering Hi-Res Audio at 192kHz / 24-bit standars. It’s dual microphones uses ASUS Noise reduction technology as well.
4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS / GLONASS are present as well.

ASUS Zenfone 4 Max Pro (ZC554KL)
This paricular cell phone is equipped with a 5.5-inch IPS screen and 2.5D curved glass. It has 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution.
A 5000 mAh battery (with 10W rapid charging) fits inside the phone with dimensions of 154 x 76.9 x 8.9 mm, with total weight of 181 grams.
The Zenfone 4 Max Pro ZC554KL specs include 14.GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 SoC with Adreno 308 (500MHz) GPU and 2GB RAM. The 3GB RAM model runs on 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 430 Mobile platform with Adreno 505 GPU.
Both the variants are available in 32GB storage space, allowing further expansion up to 256GB using MicroSD card. The mobile runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS with Zen UI 3.0 on top.
