The Black Shark 2 smartphone gets an upgraded model, which the company is calling it as Black Shark 2 Pro. It comes with liquid cooling 3.0 which included liquid-cooled plate and liquid-cooled tube.
The phone has dimensions of 163.61 x 75.01 x 8.77 mm and has weight of 205 grams. It has new design which is inspired from F1 car. Its new lighting effects are visually appealing as well.
The Black Shark 2 Pro features in an in-display fingerprint sensor. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie OS and houses Dual Nano SIM slots. There is a 4000 mAh (typical) / 3900 mAh (minimum) battery with 27W fast charging support.
This gaming smartphone flaunts a 6.39-inch multi-touch AMOLED display with 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 430nits brightness and delivers 108.9% DCI-P3 color gamut. It comes with dedicated DC dimming 2.0, touch algorithm optimized for gaming and 34.7ms touch response time.
The Black Shark 2 Pro specs include octa-core Snapdragon 855 Plus mobile platform with Adreno 640 GPU. The chipset is paired with 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and comes in options of 128GB / 256GB UFS 3.0 storage space (non expandable).
In terms of optics, there are dual shooters at the back along with LED Flash. They make up of 48MP (1/2.8″ Sony IMX586 sensor, F/1.75 Aperture, 0.8um pixels) and 12MP (Telephoto, 1/3.6″ Samsung S5K3M5 sensor, F/2.2 Aperture, 6P Lens, 1.0um pixels, 2X Lossless zoom) cameras. For selfies, there is a 20MP front camera with F/2.0 Aperture and 0.9um pixel size.
Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz) 2X2 MU-MIMO, USB Type-C, Bluetooth V5.0 and GPS/GLONASS/Beidou.
The Black Shark 2 Pro 128GB variant is priced at 2999 Yuan (US$ 435 / Rs. 29,950 approx.) while the Black Shark 2 Pro 256GB model costs 3499 Yuan (US$ 508 / Rs. 34,950 approx.). It comes in Ice Ash, Electric Black, Orange, Blue and Purple colors. The smartphone will go on sale in China from August 2nd.
