BlackBerry Aurora with Dual SIM slots, 5.5-inch HD Display, 4GB RAM launched in Indonesia

Indonesia is one of those countries that boasts highest BlackBerry Smartphone and BBM users. To further deepen its roots, BlackBerry has signed up BB Merah Putih to become company’s first smartphone hardware Licensee.
Today BB erah Putih has unveiled its first BlackBerry Aurora smartphone in Indonesia. It is first smartphone from BlackBerry to feature dual Micro SIM slots. It comes with Android 7.0 Nougat OS pre-installed. It is working closely with BB Merah Putih to deliver timely security updates.
The BlackBerry Aurora specs include 5.5-inch display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and supports multi-touch. Under the hood is a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 (MSM8917) processor with Adreno 308 GPU.
BlackBerry Aurora Image -01The chipset is paired with 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage memory and allows further expansion up to 64GB using MicroSD card. On the back side is a 13MP Auto Focus camera on the back while the front side sports 8MP fixed focus selfie shooter.
The Cellphone has dimensions of 152 x 76.8 x 8.5 mm and weighs about 178 grams. The battery inside has 3000 mAh Li-Ion capacity and offers up to 20 hours of mixed-usage or about 10 hours of video playback.
The Aurora comes bundled with Proximity sensor, Hall Sensor, Ambient Light, G-Sensor and Compass. It has Dual Microphone for noise cancellation as well.
Connectivity options include 3G HSPA+, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth V4.0, MicroUSB V2.0, GPS/A-GPS/GLONASS/Beidou etc.
The BlackBerry Aurora is priced at IDR 3,499,000 (US$ 260 approx.) and comes in Black, Silver and Gold color options. It is already up for pre-order at various e-commerce platforms in Indonesia. Pre-order time ends on March 12th.
