BlackBerry Motion with 4000mAh battery unveiled – Specs, Price [Updated]

BlackBerry has officially introduced its latest Android smartphone called BlackBerry Motion. The handset is built by China’s TCL.
The phone is IP67 rated for water and dust resistance. It can survive at 3.3 feet fresh water depths by up to 30 minutes.The handset comes pre-installed with Android 7.1 Nougat OS but will be upgradable to Android 8.0 Oreo in 2018.
It has fingerprint sensor on home button for added security. Additionally, there is an additionally a Locker that securely allows one to pin-protect photos or documents. It has Convenience Key that offers four customable profiles (Home, Office, Car, User).
BlackBerry Motion official images -1The BlackBerry Motion specifications include 5.5-inch display which is a Premium Anti-Scratch resistant screen. The display offers 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and supports multi-touch as well.
Under the hood is an 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB RAM.It has 32GB internal storage space and allows further expansion up to 2TB using MicroSD card
The BlackBerry Motion features in a 4000 mAh battery capacity, largest ever in a BlackBerry phone. It also supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. The handset is claimed to at 50% with 40 minutes of charging.
The handset measures 155.7 x 75.4 x 8.13 mm and houses Dual SIM slots. The Cell phone is equipped with 8MP front camera with F/2.2 Aperture and 1.12µm pixel size. On the back side is 12MP primary camera with Sony IMX378 sensor, F/2.0 Aperture, 1.55µm pixel size, 4K video recording and dual-tone LED Flash.
Usual connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/GLONASS, USB Type-C, NFC etc will be supported as well.
The BlackBerry Motion price is set at DH 1699 in UE and 1699 Riyal in Saudi Arabia. The price converts to about US$ 465. The handset will launch in UAE and Saudi Arabia this month. It will also roll out in select markets later this month.
