BLU Energy XL with 4G LTE, 6-inch FHD display, 5000mAh battery launched

BLU, known for its unlocked smartphones in the United States, has launched its latest phone called Energy XL. It supports 4G LTE and sports a 6-inch Super AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and 367ppi pixel density. The screen also has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection for scratch resistance.
The BLU Energy XL specs include 1.3GHz Octa Core MediaTek MT6753 processor with Mali-T720 GPU. It has 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage space. The mobile comes pre-installed with Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and is upgradable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow later this yer.
The phone has dimensions of 160.9 x 81.2 x 8.4mm and weighs 208 grams. It is made using aircraft grade aluminium as housing structure. It also comes with colour coated curve display and polished accent chamfer edges. The mobile houses an ultra-fast fingerprint sensor as well that unlocks the phone in less than 10ms.

On the front side is 5MP selfie camera, equipped with 84-degree wide angle lens and a dedicated LED Flash. The rear side sports a 13MP primary shooter with LED Flash, F/2.2 Aperture, 1/3-inch sensor, 5P lens, real-time HDR and PDAF support.

The battery inside is of 5000 mAh Li-Po. The phone includes 9V/2A quick charger using which, one can get 4 hours of talk time in 10 minutes of charge. The Energy XL features DTS surround sound audio technology for enhanced sound.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE with VoLTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.0, USB Type-C 2.0, GPS, FM Radio, 3.5mm Audio jack etc.

The BLU Energy XL is priced at $299.99 and comes in Solid Gold and White-Silver colour options. It is currently available online from Amazon.com and is compatible with most GSM carriers including T-Mobile and AT&T.
