boAt XTEND smartwatch with Amazon Alexa, SpO2 monitoring announced

India’s leading wearable and audio products brand boAt has announced its latest smartwatch in India called boAt XTEND.

The wearable comes with 5ATM water resistant rating and can survive at depths of 50 meters of water for 30 minutes. It has 1.69-inch Big Square LCD touch display and offers up to 50 watch faces (available from boAt Wave app).

The boAt XTEND supports Alexa Voice assistant out of the box. It can set reminders, alarms, answer questions, weather forecasts and give out live cricket scores.

The smartwatch has array of onboard sensors and health monitors like Stress monitor, SPo2 monitor, Heart Rate monitor, sleep monitor and step counter. The wearable can also track daily activity.

It can also collect all necessary health and fitness data and gives out easy to understand summary via its boAt Wave App. For instance, its stress monitor indicates stress level above 80, one can use guided Meditative Breathing app to regulate and relax (3 modes – Slow, Normal, Rapid). Its stress monitor reads HRV (Heart Rate Variability) to indicated stress.

The boAt XTEND has daily activity track with 14 fitness modes like walking, running, cycling, hiking, swimming etc. it also tracks sports activities like rowing, playing cricket and working.

The boAt XTEND uses Bluetooht V5.0 for seamless connectivity with smartphones. Once connected, it gives bout notification alerts for calls, texts, alarms, hydration as well as 3rd party social media apps. It has Do Not Disturb mode to block out unnecessary notifications.

The XTEND houses 300mAh battery which gives about 7 days of usage on single charge. With heavy use, one can easily expect 4 to 5 days of usage. Its battery is fully chargeable in just about 2 hours (using Magnetic charging).
