Casio G-SQUAD PRO (GSW-H1000) unveiled with Wear OS, 200meter water resistance

Casio has unveiled its latest rugged smartwatch called G-SQUAD PRO (GSW-H1000). It is company’s first watch powered by Wear OS.

The Casio G-SQUAD PRO offers 20-bar water resistance and can easily handle up to 200meter depths. The wearable measures 65.6 x 56.3 x 19.5 mm and weighs 103 grams (including strap). The watch offers 15 activities and 24 indoor workout options.

The wearable feature a 1.2-inch TFT LCD dual-layer color and monochrome display offering 360 x 360 pixels resolution. It has 3-tier display layout for easy customization, opening to the possibility of showing different data or analog screen.

The G-SQUAD PRO comes with an optical heart rate sensor for measuring heart beats. It has several other sensors like Air pressure sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and magnetic compass. The watch casing is made using titanium and has titanium carbide finishing. Casio has also included microphone inside.

The smartwatch uses Bluetooth V4.2 LE for connectivity with smartphones. It has support for Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/GLONASS for positioning and MICHIBIKI (QZSS) support. The battery inside offers up to 1.5 days with normal use (on color display). On time-piece mode, it gives about 1 month.

The Casio G-SQUAD PRO price is $699 (Rs. 51,230 approx.) and comes in Black, Black/Blue and Red colors.
