Coolpad Legacy 5G with dual rear cameras gets official at CES 2020

Coolpad could make a comeback with a bang with its new 5G smartphone called Coolpad Legacy 5G. The handset was announced at on going Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2020.

The handset measures 165 x 77 x 9.5 mm and weighs about 195 grams. It comes with Snapdragon X52 5G modem for 5G connectivity. The handset will support sub-6GHz 5G networks from carriers like AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile.

The Coolpad Legacy 5G specs include 6.53-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with multi-touch capabilities. It does run on Android 10 vanilla OS out of the box. At its core is an octa-core (2.3GHz A76 x 1 + 2.2GHz A76 x 1 + 1.8GHz A55 x 6) Snapdragon 765 mobile platform with Adreno 620 GPU.

You get 4G of RAM and and 64GB built-in storage space, which is further expandable up to 128GB using MicroSD card. A 16MP sits at front inside notch, for face unlock, selfies and video calling. At the back side is a dual camera setup of 48MP (main) + 8MP (wide-angle) shooters and LED flash. There is a rear mounted fingerprint sensor as well.

The Coolpad Legacy 5G features in a 4000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging via USB Type-C. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.0, GPS/GLONASS, Type-C USB and 3.5mm Jack.

The Coolpad Legacy 5G price is $400 (RS. 28,800 approx.). It is more than likely to be one of the cheapest 5G smartphone in US when it launches.
