Essential Phone with 5.7-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 835 announced

Android creator Andy Rubin and finally unveiled its new Android Smartphone called Essential Phone (PH-1). It has sleek stylish design with titanium body and ceramic back.
The phone has dimensions of 141.5 x 71.1 x 7.8 mm and weighs about 185 grams. It has fingerprint sensor located on the back side. It runs on Android OS (exact version not specified).
The Essential Phone specs include 5.7-inch CGS / LTPS bezel-less display with 2560 x 1312 pixels resolution. It has 19:10 aspect ratio, 500 nits brightness, 1000:1 typical contrast ratio and has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection for scratch resistance. It has 10-point multi-touch with palm and water-error rejection technology.
An octa-core Kyro 280 (2.45GHz x 4 + 1.9GHz x 4) Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 GPU (710MHz) sits at the core. It is backed by 4GB RAM and 138GB UFS 2.1 storage ROM, which is non expandable.
Essential Phone image 1The Essential Phone features in an 8MP selfie camera with F/2.2 Aperture, hyperfocal lens and records 4K videos at 30fps, 1080p at 60fps and 720p at 120 fps. On the back side is a dual camera setup. It has 13MP Dual RGB camera + 13MP True Monochrome mode camera with image fusion technology. Primary camera features include F/1.85 aperture lens, Hybrid Auto Focus (combines Contrast, Phased Detection and IR Laser Assist Focus) and supports 4K video recording as well.
It has 3040 mAh fast charging battery. Connectivity options include 4G (FDD-LTE / TDD-LTE via Nano SIM), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with MIMO, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V5.0 LE, NFC, GPS/A-GPS/GLONASS, USB Type-C etc. The cell phone comes with array  of sensors like Proximity, Ambient Light, Barometer, Accelerometer, Magnetometer and Gyroscope.
The Essential phone by Andy Rubin is priced at $699 and comes in Pure White, Black Moon, Stellar Grey and Ocean Depths color options. It is already up for pre-order in U.S. One can also opt for a promo bundle of 360-degree camera, which will cost you $749.
