Facebook messenger gets a lite variant and the Social Networking giant is calling it Messenger Lite. It is already available for Android Phones in emerging markets like Keyny, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Venezuela. Other markets are soon to follow.
As the name suggests, Messenger Lite is very basic version of Facebook Messenger. It is light on the phone and reduces mobile data consumption to a great extent. It is compatible with older version of Android devices that has low performance, less memory and storage.
Facebook has already launched its “Facebook Lite” application for underpowered smartphones. Now, they are doing the same with the messenger.
Android phones have been buzzing in these emerging markets. Many users are still with old Android smartphones and use unstable connection. For such users, company has released Messenger Lite.
