Fitbit Alta HR fitness tracker with Hear Rate Sensor announced

Fitbit has made a name for itself with its feature rich fitness trackers. Adding to the list, company has unveiled Alta HR fitness tracker.
It is successor to last year’s FitBit Alta. Design wise, Alta HR is same as its predecessor, but includes PurePulse Hear Rate monitor. It tracks your heart rates all day and during workouts and gives accurate insights on calories burnt.
It also gives a friendly on-screen messages or reminders that motivate you to reach mini goals like 250 steps each hour.
FitBit Alta HR Image 01The fitness tracker is equipped with OLED Tap display. It shows steps taken, calories burnt and distance.  It’s SmartTrack auto detects workouts like running, elliptical, biking etc. and logs them to our dashboard.
A fully charged battery gives up to 7 days of battery life. The FitBit Alta HR also features in Auto Sleep Tracking which keeps an eye on sleep duration and consistency.
The smart fitness band can also receive call, text and calendar notifications right on the display. It is not just limited to fitness tracking, it also provides basic functionality of watch and comes with customizable clock faces as well.

The Fitbit Alta HR price starts at $149.95 and comes in Black, Blue Gray, Fuchsia and Coral colors (all with Stainless Steel). It has a Alta HR Special Edition variant priced at $179.95. It comes in Black / Gunmetal Stainless Steel and Soft Pink / 22K Rose Gold plated color options. The fitness tracker is already up for pre-order and will go on sale from early April.
