Fitbitbit Ace 3 out for Kids

A new smart Fitness band called Fitbit Ace 3 has silently gone official. It is first smartband from Fitbit post Google acquisition.

The Fitbit Ace 3 is clearly aimed at kids of age 6 and above. The smartband comes with PMOLED touch screen display and comes with comfortable silicone band and adjustable clasp. It has dimensions of 37.39 x 16.8 x 12.9 mm.

The band is also resistant to water up to 50 meters and easily handles splashes and spills. It offers activity tracking functions like steps taken and active minutes to show how kids move, skip and jump.

The Fitbit Ace 3 uses Bluetooth V4.2 for connectivity with smartphones. It is compatible with most Android 7.0+ and iOS 12.2+ devices. Under Fitbit App Parent View and Kid View, parents can setup family account and create child accounts to keep tabs on child’s activity. Fitbit App Kid view can show stats, badges and clock faces of Kids above 6.

With the app, parents can set friendly on-wrist reminders for kids to move or stretch legs if they are sitting for a long time. Parents can also schedule bedtime reminders and silent alarms. Additionally, the band can also track sleep habits of kids.

Fitbit Ace 3 also shows call notifications on wrist (works with selected devices nearby). Charging hassle is also less on this one as the band offers up to 8 days of battery backup and boasts charge time of 2hours.

The smartband can save 7 days of detailed motion data (minute by minute) and saves daily totals for past 30 days. It has 3-axis accelerometer and vibration motor as well.

The FitBit Ace 3 price is $99.95 and comes in Black / Sports Red and Cosmic Blue / Astro Green colors. It is already up for pre-order at company’s official site.
