All-new Getac T800 rugged tablet with 8.1-Inch display, 4GB RAM launched

Getac, known for its rugged products, has announced its latest rugged tablet called the Getac T800.It runs on Windows 10 Professional OS and comes with TPM 2.0 security that protects system start-ups to ensure that device is tamper-free. It also has Bitlockers full disk encryption, multi-factor authentication options, Microsoft passport and credential guard for added security.
It has fully rugged non slip exterior and is MIL-STD-810G and IP65 certified. It can sustain drops from up to 6 feet and is e-Mark certified for vehicle usage as well. users can also opt for ANSI/ISA 12.12.01 and optional EU Explosive Atmosphere ATEX certification.
In terms of dimensions, this rugged windows tablet measures 227 x 151 x 24 mm and weighs about 0.88 kg. It is thin, ergonomically designed and optimally sized touchscreen for one-hand operation.
The new Getac T800 specs include 8.1-Inch TFT LCD display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. It has 600 nits LumiBond display with Getac sunlight readable technology. The screen has 16:10 aspect ratio, 170-wide viewing angles and 10-point multi-touch. It also supports glove and Pen (hard-tip stylus + optinal digitizer) touch modes.

Under the hood is 1.6GHz (burst up to 2.4GHz) Intel Atom X7-Z8700 processor with 2MB cache coupled with Intel HD graphics. It comes with 4GB LPDDR3 RAM (expandable up to 8GB RAM) and has 64GB / 128GB eMMC storage options. This rugged tablet has 6 buttons namely Windows, Power, Function Key, Camera Capture / Barcode Reader trigger, Volume up and down.
The tablet is equipped with 1080p web-camera on the front coupled with 8MP auto focus camera on the back with LED Flash.  It has best in the class battery of 4200 mAh Li-Ion and comes with optional hot-swappable SnapBack battery for enhanced battery backup. Snapback also includes a 2-in-1 SmartCard and RFID/NFC reader or 2-in-1 SmartCard and magnetic stripe reader.

The new Getac T800 features a true purpose-built solution for variety of applications, vehicle docking solutions from Gamber Johnson and Havis that allows tri-pass-through antenna ports to simultaneously connect to high-gain WWAN, WLAN and roof-mounted GPS antennas.
This rugged Windows Tablet supports Intel Dual Band Wireless Ac 726, 802.11 ac, Bluetooth V4.0, Optional dedicated GPS and Optional 10/100/1000 base-T Ethernet (occupies expansion slot).
The all-new Getac T800 pricing starts at AU$ 1686 (US$ 1250 approx. ) (RRP) and is up for sale in Australia and New Zealand.
