Gionee seems to be working on an affordable smartphone bearing model number GN5005. The handset has made its way at Chinese certification authority TENAA.
According to the listing, the phone has dimensions of 144.3 x 70.5 x 8.6 mm and weighs 140 grams. It has Dual SIM slots and supports LTE.
It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Amigo UI on top. In terms of Specifications, the GN5005 features 5.5-Inch display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution.
Under the hood is 1.25GHz quad-core processor (most probably MediaTek MT6737 SoC). It has 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage ROM, further expandable up to 128GB using MicroSD card.
TENAA also reveals that the handset sports 5MP front camera and 8MP CMOS rear snapper with LED flash, Auto Focus and 1080p video recording capabilities.
This handset should last at least a day as it is powered by 4000 mAh battery. It has Gravity sensor, Light and Proximity sensor as well.
Usual connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS, MicroUSB V2.0, 3.5mm Audio jack will be present as well.
The Gionee GN5005 comes in Gold color options. We expect this smartphone to go official soon.
