Google at an event earlier has unveiled its latest Nest Mini and Nest WiFi mesh router. It was announced along side Pixel 4/4XL smartphones and PixelBook Go laptop.
The Google Nest Mini price is $49 (Rs. 3500 approx.) and is up for pre-order in US. It will go on sale from October 22 and comes in Chalk, Charcoal, Sky and Coral colors. It will launch in India soon.
The Google Nest Wi-Fi mesh router comes in Snow, Sand and Mist colors. It is priced a $269 (Rs. 19,230 approx.) for two pack with one router and one point OR $349 ( Rs. 24,950 approx.) for three pack with one router and two points. It will be available in 8 global markets. In the US, it will go on sale from November 4th
Google Nest Mini
It is 2nd Generation Google Assistant speaker with a dedicated machine learning chip, which has processing power of up to one TeraOPS. It learns your most common commands and process them locally for faster response times.
It has Wi-Fi 802.11ac with Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.0 and Chromecast built-in. It has LED lights which automatically lights up when you reach towards the speaker.
The Google Nest Mini provides 40% more power bass than is predecessor. It has 40mm driver and includes proprietary audio tuning software.
Once can also connect nest mini with other Nest speakers and build unique sound system throughout home. Users can also create groups and enjoy music, podcasts etc.
With just voice commands, users can stream transfer music from one speaker to another. You can also access Nest Mini with Google Home App and use intercom feature to talk from device to device or make calls.
Google Nest WiFi Mesh Router
The router has soft rounded edges and unobtrusive lighting. It has quad-core 64-bit 1.4GHz processor and supports simultaneous dual-band (2.4/5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11ac.
The Wi-Fi Router AC2200 has MU-MIMO Wi-Fi 4×4 (5GHz) and 2×2 (2.4GHz) while the Wi-Fi Point supports AC1200 MU-MIMO Wi-Fi 2×2 (2.4/5GHz).
Statistically, it is more powerful than Google Wi-Fi. It delivers twice the speed at up to 25% better coverage. Google says that a two pack can deliver coverage for up to 3800 Square-foot home.
users can also add more points later and those already having Google Wi-Fi network can add Nest Wi-Fi for additional coverage. The Google Nest Wi-Fi point comes with same speaker included inside Nest Mini. It has google assistant and can be added inside speaker group.
