Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones announced [Updated]

Google has announced two new Pixel smartphones called Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. Both of them sports a uni-body Aluminum design with hybrid coating. Moreover, they have Active Edge feature (also seen HTC U11), when squeezed launches Google Assistant.
The Pixel 2 measures 145.7 x 69.7 x 7.8 mm and weighs 143 grams. It is powered by 2700 mAh battery. It’s larger iteration, the Pixel 2 XL has dimensions of 157.9 x 76.7 x 7.9mm and weighs 175 grams. It has a larger 3520 mAh battery capacity.
Both of these smartphones come with IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. They are equipped with Fingerprint sensor at the back for quick unlocking and added security. Their Stere front-firing speakers offer enhanced audio.
Google Pixel 2 official image 1The Google Pixel 2 Specs include 5-inch AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It has 100000:1 super contrast ratio, 95% DCI-P3 coverage and sports a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
The Google Pixel 2 XL Specs include a larger 6-inch POLED screen with 100% DCI-P3 coverage. The display offers 2880 x 1440 pixels Full HD resolution, 538ppi pixel density, 18:9 aspect ratio,  100000:1 contrast ratio and 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Both mobiles are powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 835 mobile platform with Adreno 540 GPU. They come with 4GB DDR4X RAM and 64GB / 128GB storage options. The storage is further expandable up to 256GB as well.
These phones feature a 8MP front camera with F/2.4 Aperture and 1.4μm pixel size. At the rear side is 12.2MP primary camera with F/1.8 Aperture, 1.4μm pixel size, Laser + Dual Pixel PDAF, OIS, EIS, LED Flash and 4K video recording capabilities.
The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL both run on Android 8.0 Oreo OS out of the box. They also support 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz) 2X2 MIMO, Bluetooth V5.0 LE, GPS/A-GPS/GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C etc.
The Google Pixel 2 price starts at US$ 649 (Rs. 42,200 approx.) for 64GB storage model and US$ 749 (Rs. 48,700 approx.) for 128GB storage variant. It comes in Clearly White, Just Black and Kinda Blue color options.
The Google Pixel 2 XL price is set at $849 (Rs. 55,230 approx) for 64GB model and US$ 949 (Rs. 61,760 approx.) for 128GB storage version. It comes in Just Black and Black & White colors.
Both cell phones will initially be available in Australia, Germany, Canada, India, UK and U.S. It will roll out in Italy, Singapore and Spain later this year.
UPDATE: Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL Price in India and availability

Both of these smartphones will be up for pre-order online at Flipkart starting October 26th. It can also be pre-ordered at 1000 retail stores across India. The Pixel 2 will go on sale in India from November 1, 2017 while the Pixel 2 XL will be available from November 15th.
