Google Pixel 5a 5G with IP67 rating, Snapdragon 765G SoC announced

Google has officially unveiled its new Pixel Series smartphone called Google Pixel 5a 5G. It has unibody metal design and comes with IP67 water and dust resistant rating.

The phone has measurements of 156.2 x 73.2 x 8.8 mm and weighs just about 183 grams. It has Titan M Security module and sports rear mounted fingerprint sensor for authentication.

The Google Pixel 5a (5G) specs include 6.34-inch OLED display offering 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 60Hz refresh rate and delivers up to 700nits brightness. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top.

Powering inside is octa-core Snapdragon 765G mobile platform with Adreno 620 GPU. It has 6GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB built-in storage space. Powering inside is a 4680mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

The Google Pixel 5A feature an 8MP front camera with F/2.0 Aperture and 1.12um pixel size. At the back side are dual cameras consisting of 12.2MP (main, Sony IMX363, F/1.7, 1.4um pixel size, Dual Pixel AF) and 16MP (107° ultra-wide, Sony IMX481, F/2.2, 1.0um pixel size). There is LED flash as well.

The smartphone houses dual microphones and includes stereo speakers. It is powered by Android 11 OS out of the box. It has Nano SIM + eSIM and supports 5G / 4G VoLTE. It has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5Ghz), Bluetooth V5.0, NFC and GPS/GLONASS/Galileo/Beidou.

It has proximity, ambient light, gyroscope, accelerometer, magnetometer and barometer inside as well.

The Google Pixel 5A 5G price in US is set at $449 and comes in Mostly Black colors. In Japan, it costs JPY 51,700.
