HIFIMAN, a company well known for its high fidelity personal audio products, has unveiled HE400se open-back over-ear Planar headphones in India.
The HIFIMAN HE400se feature a lightweight and adjustable headband along with hybrid earbuds for added comfort. The varying thickness in headband conforms to human skull, making it an almost custom tailored for each listeners head.
The headphone’s hybrid earpads also keeps ear cool during long hours of audio. The drivers inside are protected by a newly designed casing for enhanced durability and element protection. The headphones also come with dual-sided high-performance cables with 3.5mm connectors. HIFIMAN has also included a 6.35mm adapter for maximum compatibility with range of devices.
The HIFIMAN HE400se does not use conventional neodymium magnets. It has acoustically invisible stealth magnets which are designed with a special shape that allow sound waves to pass through them without interference.
This advanced magnet design from HIFIMAN is acoustically transparent and reduces wave fraction turbulence and yields pure sonic output which is accurate and full range. At the heart of HIFIMAN’s HE400se are the planar drivers which deliver pure audio. It has conductive layers that cover nearly the entire diaphragm, resulting in significantly lower distortion than conventional dynamic headphones. It s high sensitivity makes it perfect match for low-voltage sources and thus eliminating need for an amplifier.
The HE400se has frequency response of 20Hz – 20kHz, Impedance of 25Ω, and sensitivity of 91dB. The headphone itself weighs about 390 grams.
