Honor 8 with 4G LTE, 5.2-Inch 1080p display, Kirin 950 SoC announced

Huawei has announced its latest mobile phone called the Honor 8. It has slim metal frame with glass and houses fingerprint sensor on the back.
The phone has 5.2-Inch 2.5D curved glass display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It has 96% NTSC color gamut and supports multi-touch as well. Under the hood is (2.3GHz Cortex A72 x 4 + 1.8GHz Cortex A53 x 4) Octa Core Kirin 950 processor (16nm) with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU.
The mobile comes in two variants – 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 32GB / 64GB internal storage ROM. MicroSD card via its Hybrid Dual SIM slot (nano  + nano / microSD) is also supported. It allows up to 128GB storage expansion.
The Huawei Honor 8 Specs include 12MP dual camera setup on the back. It has dual-tone LED flash, F/2.2 Aperture, 6P lens, 1.4µm pixel size and supports Laser Auto Focus as well. On the front side is 8MP secondary camera with F/2.4 aperture.
The phone has dimensions of 145.5 x 71 x 7.45 mm and weighs 153 grams. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with EMUI 4.1. It has a decent 3000 mAh typical battery (2900 mAh minimum) that supports fast charging. Infrared sensor is also present.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V4.2, USB Type-C, GPS, NFC, 3.5mm Audio jack etc.
The Huawei Honor 8 is priced at 1999 Yuan (US$ 299) for 3GB RAM / 32GB Storage variant (full version netcom / carrier edition). The 4GB RAM / 32GB storage model is priced at 2299 Yuan (US$ 343). The premium 4GB RAM / 64GB storage version is priced slightly higher at 2499 Yuan (US$ 374).
The Honor 8 comes in Pearl White, Midnight Black, Sunrise Gold, Sapphire Blue and Sakura Pink color options. The phone is already up for order in China and will go on sale from July 19, 2016.
