Honor Band 6 with 1.47-inch display, Heart Rate and SpO2 monitor unveiled

Huawei’s Honor brand has officially introduced its latest smart band called Honor Band 6. It is successor to last years Band 5.

The design of Honor Band 6 itself draws a thin line between a smart band and a smartwatch. It has 1.47-inch 2.5D Glass AMOLED touch screen display offering 194 x 368 pixels resolution, 283ppi pixel density and supports more than 100 faces. The screen itself is 148% larger than its predecessor.

The Honor Band 6 has dimensions of 43 x 25.4 x 10.45 mm and weighs about 18 grams. The wearable comes with 5ATM rating which makes it water resistant up to 50 meters.

The smart band features in HUAWEI TruSeen 4.0 heart rate monitor (24-hour heart rate monitoring using Optical Heart Rate monitor), HUAWEI TruSleep 2.0 sleep tracker, HUAWE TruRelax stress tracker and for female gender, a Menstrual cycle tracker. It also includes SpO2 Blood Oxygen level tracking.

For fitness enthusiasts, Honor has included 10 work out modes of which, it can automatically track 6 work outs. These include Indoor running, outdoor running, outdoor walking, indoor walking, indoor cycling, outdoor cycling, rowing machine, free training and elliptical machine.

The Honor Band 6 features in 180mAh battery capacity. It is said to give about 14 days of typical usage or up to 10 days of heavy usage. It has magnetic fast charging allowing 2 days of battery life with just 5 minutes of charge.

The smartband uses Bluetooth V5.0 to connect with most Android smartphones (Android 5.0 or above). It has 6-axis IMU sensors which is combination of Accelerometer and Gyroscope. There is a Honor Band 6 NFC model as well.

The Honor Band 6 price is 249 Yuan (US$ 37 / Rs. 2780 approx.) while the Honor Band 6 NFC variant costs 289 Yuan (US$ 43 / Rs. 3230 approx.). It comes in Coral Pink, Seagully Grey and Meteorite Black colors. The smart band is already available in in China.
