Honor has just announced its latest Foldable Android mobile phone in China called Honor Magic V. It comes in Titanium Silver, Burning Orange and Bright Black colors.
HONOR Magic V specifications and features
The cell phone has dimensions of 160.4 x 72.7 (folded) / 141.1 (unfolded) x 14.3 (folded) / 6.7mm (unfolded) mm. Its plain leather version weighs 288 grams. The glass version has weight of 293 grams.
The HONOR Magic V feature an inner 7.9-inch multi-touch flexible OLED foldable display offering 2272 x 1984 pixels resolution at 19.3:9 aspect ratio and supports up to 90Hz refresh rate. The handset sports a second 6.45-inch external OLED Nano Microcystaline display that gives 2560 x 1080 pixels resolution, 21.3:9aspect ratio and up to 120Hz refresh rate. Their screen delivers 1.07-billion colors and DCI-P3 wide color gamut.
Powering inside this mobile is an octa-core (2.995GHz Cortex-X2 x 1 + 2.496GHz Cortex-A710 x 3 + 1.785GHz Cortex-A510 x 4) Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor with Adreno 730 next-gen GPU. The Honor Magic V smartphone comes in options of 12GB LPDDR5 RAM with 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 storage space.
The handset boots with Android 12 based Magic UI 6.0. It has 4750mAH (typical) / 4650mAh (minimum) battery capacity and supports 66W super fast charging. The smartphone is compatible with 40W / 22.5W / 20W fast charging. It can charge up to 50% in just 15 minutes.
The Honor Magic V specs include a 42MP rear camera with F/2.4 Aperture and supports up to 4K video recording. EIS anti-shake feature is present along with 2D face recognition. At the back side of this foldable mobile are triple cameras with LED flash. It has 50MP (main wide-angle, F/1.9) + 50MP (spectral-enhanced, F/2.0) + 50MP (ultra-wide, F/2.2) lenses at back with EIS, up to 10x digital zoom and 4K video recording.
The dual nano SIM slots present supports 5G and Dual 4G VoLTE. For connectivity, it has Wi-Fi 6 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), 2×2 MIMO, HE160, 4096 QAM, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth V5.2, Infrared, USB Type-C 3.1 Gen1, DP1.2, USB Type-C audio and GPS/A-GPS/GLONASS/Beidou/Galileo.
The handset comes with side mounted fingerprint sensor for biometrics. Other sensors include Ir, Gyro, Compass, NFC, Ambient Light and Proximity. For audio, Honor Magic V has stereo speakers with DTS:X ultra sound

The handset will go on sale in China from January 18th. There is no word on Honor Magic V global release date yet.
