Honor Play 8A announced with Helio P35 SoC, Android 9.0 Pie

Huawei’s Honor brand has officially unveiled its latest smartphone called Honor Play 8A. It is a budget handset running on Android 9.0 Pie OS (with EMUI 9.0) out of the box.
The phone has dimensions of 156.28 x 73.5 x 8.0 mm and has weight of 150 grams. It has Dual Nano SIM slots and supports dual 4G VoLTE. The hardware is powered by 3000 mAh (typical) / 2900 mAh (minimum) battery.
The Honor Play 8A specs include 6-inch 2.5D curved glass display with 1560 x 720 pixels resolution, 19:5:9 aspect ratio and multi-touch support. Inside is a 2.3GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 Processor with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU (680MHz).
The device comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB / 64GB storage options. There is a dedicated MicroSD card slot for further storage expansion up to 512GB. An 8MP shooter with F/2.0 Aperture is placed at the front for selfies. At the back side is a single 13MP camera with F/1.8 Aperture and LED Flash.
Honor-Play-8A-photo-2Connectivity wise, it has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.2, GPS/GLONASS and 3.5mm Audio Jack.
The Honor Play 8A price is 799 Yuan (US$ 115 / Rs. 8150 approx.) for 32GB storage variant. The 64GB model of Play 8A costs 999 Yuan (US$ 145 / Rs. 10,200 approx.). It comes in Black, Gold, Red and Blue colors. The handset will start selling in China from January 9th.
