Honor X8a unveiled with 100MP primary rear camera

A new higher entry-level smartphone from HONOR called X8a (Models CRT-LX1 / CRT-LX2 / CRT-LX3) has been made official. It is offered in Cyan Lake, Titanium Silver and Midnight black colors.

The HONOR X8a itself has dimensions of 162.9 x 74.5 x 7.48 mm and has weight of about 179 grams (including battery). It has dual Nano SIM slots and supports dual 4G VOLTE.

The smartphone comes with a 6.7-inch multi-touch LTPS LCD screen giving out 2388 x 1080 pixels resolution at 19.9:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate, JNCD <1 and 93.6% screen-to-body ratio.

Under the hood is an octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 processor with Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. It has 6GB/8GB RAM options and 128GB of non-expandable storage space.

The HONOR X8a runs on Android 12 based MagicUI 6.1 out of the box. It has a 4500mAh (typ) / 4400mAh (min) battery inside and supports 22.5W SuperCharge fast charging (charger included).

In terms of optics, it has a 16MP front camera with F/2.45 Aperture and supports 2D face recognition. At the back side is a combo of 100MP (main, F/1.9 Aperture, up to 10x digital zoom, 1080p video) + 5MP (ultra-wide / Depth, F/2.2 Aperture) + 2MP (macro, F/2.4 Aperture) cameras along with LED Flash.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.1, USB Type-C, GPS/A-GPS/GLONASS/Beidou/Galileo, NFC (only in CRT-LX1 model) and 3.5mm audio jack.

The Honor X8a comes with a side mounted fingerprint sensor, gravity sensor, ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor (by software) and compass. [source]
