HTC U Play with 5.2-inch 1080p display, 16MP selfie camera announced

HTC has also announced a sort of mini variant of HTC U Ultra called HTC U Play. It has metal frame and sports a similar glass design.
It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and comes with HTC Sense Companion, an AI helper. It also comes fingerprint sensor on the front side.
Unlike U Ultra, the U Play features in a single 5.2-Inch LCD Display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It has Corning Gorilla Glass protection as well and supports multi-touch.
The handset is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor with Mali-T860 GPU. The 3GB RAM variant comes with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM model will have 64GB internal memory. MicroSD cards up to 2TB are supported as well.
The HTC U Play specs include 16MP front facing selfie camera with UltraPixel mode, F/2.0 Aperture and 28mm Lens. Primary camera on the back is of 16MP as well. It has dual-tone LED flash, F/2.0 Aperture, OIS, PDAF and supports 1080p video recording.
HTC U Play comestic pink color image 1The smartphone has dimensions of 145.99 x 72. 9 x 3.5 ~ 7.99 mm and weighs 145 grams. It has Hybrid Dual SIM slots (nano + nano / microSD) and supports 4G LTE.
It is powered by 2500 mAh battery with fast charging capabilities. Connectivity wise, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V4.2, GPS+GLONASS, NFC, USB 2.0 Type-C etc.
The cellphone is also equipped with Dual Microphones for noise cancellation. It has HTC USonic as well.
The HTC U Play price starts NT $13,900 (US$ 438) for premium 4GB RAM / 64GB storage model. It comes in Brilliant Black, Sapphire Blue and Comestic Pink color options. It will start rolling out in March 2017.
