Lately HTC has lost its momentum when it comes to smartphones. Its so called flagships HTC 10 and HTC U Ultra failed to deliver the sales bump. Well, HTC has something more to offer with its next flagship.
Today, HTC has released a 5 second Teaser of its upcoming flagship phone, suggesting that it could be called as HTC U. The handset was previously rumored by the name HTC Ocean.
The mobile doesn’t seem to have secondary display, but it sure does have pressure-sensitive frame. HTC also quotes “Squeeze for the Brilliant U” and showcases a light squeeze in the video.
According to speculation, HTC U specs should includes 5.5-inch WQHD display with 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 835 SoC and is expected with 4GB / 6GB RAM.
Apart from this, HTC has included a date, which is May 16, 2017. The announcement of HTC U will be streamed live at 2:00PM Taipe / 2:00 AM New York and 7:00 AM London.
