HUAWEI FreeBuds 3 with Kirin A1 chip announced [Update: Launched in India]

HUAWEi took to IFA 2019 event where it has announced its new FreeBuds 3. It has BT/BLE dual-mode Bluetotoh V5.1 SOC with patented BT-UHD transmission protocol (6.5Mbps speed) and is world’s first of its kind.

The Huawei FreeBuds 3 truely wireless earbuds measure 41.5 x 20.4 x 17.8 mm and weighs 4.5 grams per bud. Its charging case has dimensions of 60.9 x 21.8 mm and weighs 48 grams.

The earbuds feature in Dolphin Bionic Open-Fit design comfortable fitting inside ears. It has Aerodynamic Mic Duct Design which reduces wind noise efficiently for clear voice during calls (even in windy conditions).

The Freebuds 3 comes with intuitive controls. Users can simply double tap on the right to play / switch music or left to turn on/off ANC function. Playback automatically pauses when buds are taken off or Resumes when are put on. It has Pop-up and Pair feature for easy pairing with devices running on EMUI 10 or above.

The Huawei Freebuds 3 feature in Kirin A1 Chipset. It has 14.2mm dynamic drivers and offers 190ms low latency for gaming. Additionally, it has Active Noise cancellation which eli eliminates ambient noise by up to 15db.

Each earbud is equipped with 30mAh battery which offers about 4 hours of playtime on single charge. The Charging case comes with 410 mAh battery which offers a total of 20 hours of playback time. It can be charged using USB-Type-C (5V/1.2A) 6W and Qi (2W) wireless charing.

The Huawei FreeBuds 3 colors are Carbon Black and Ceramic White. It will be priced less than $199 which is of Apple AirPods (confirmed by Alex Wang, Huawei’s VP or marketing operations).

Update 13/5/20: Huawei Freebuds 3 TWS earbuds have been officially launched in India. It is priced at Rs. 12,990 and will be available online exclusively at Amazon.in from May 20th.
