Huawei GR5 2017 with Kirin 655 SoC silently introduced

Chinese company Huawei has silently introduced its new smartphone in South Asian markets called GR5 2017. It has metallic surface with curved design for better handling.
The cellphone is equipped with next-generation fingerprint sensor with 360-degree readability. It unlocks smartphone in 0.5 second and provides additional security as well.
The Huawei GR5 2017 specs include 5.5-Inch IPS 2.5D glass display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and supports multi-touch as well. Under the hood is an octa-core (2.1GHz A53 x 4 + 1.7GHz A53 x 4) HiSilicon Kirin 655 processor with Mali-T830 MP2 GPU.
It has 3GB RAM and 32GB of built-in storage space and allows further expansion up to 128GB using MicroSD card. The mobile runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with EMUI 4.1 on top.

The GR5 2017 features in 12MP + 2MP (dual) rear camera on the back with LED flash. On the front side is an 8MP selfie camera with wide-angle lens. The battery inside is of 3340 mAh (non removable) and is said to offer 23 hours of talk time or up to 650 hours of standby.
The Smartphone measures 150.9 x 76.2 x 8.2 mm and weighs 162 grams. It has Dual SIM slots and supports 4G LTE. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.1, MicroUSB V2.0, GPS/A-GPS etc.
The Huawei GR5 2017 is priced LKR 35,900 (approx. US$ 241 / Rs. 16,500) and comes in Gray, Silver and Gold colour options. The handset has already launched in Sri Lanka and is expected to go official in other South-East Asian markets soon.
