Huawei Honor 9 with 12MP + 20MP dual cameras launched

Surprisingly, Huawei has announced its latest smartphone at an event in China called Honor 9 (STF-AL00). It is successor to last years Honor 8.
It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS with EMUI 5.1 on top. The phone comes with Hybrid Dual SIM slots (Nano + Nano / MicroSD) and supports 4G VoLTE.
The Honor 9 Specs include 5.15-inch LTPS display with DCI-P3 color space (also seen in Galaxy S8 and iPhone 7). The screen has 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, 428 ppi pixel density and multi-touch support.
Huawei Honor 9 image -4At the central core is Huawei’s very on octa-core (2.4GHz A73 x 4 + 1.8GHz A53 x 4) HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor with Mali-G71 MP8 GPU.
The smartphone comes in 4GB RAM with 64GB ROM and 6GB RAM with 64GB / 128GB storage options. All the variants allow further expansion up to 256GB.
The Huawei Honor 9 features in dual cameras at the back. It makes up of 20MP (black and white) + 12MP (F/2.2 Aperture). They offer 2X optical zoom, Hybrid Auto Focus (PDAF + Laser + depth + contrast focus), 4K video recording along with bokeh and portrait modes. On the front side is and 8MP fixed focus camera with F/2.0 Aperture.
The cell phone gets energy from 3200 mAh (typical) / 3100 mAh (minimum) battery with 2A fast charging. The battery fits inside phone with dimensions of 147.3 x 70.9 x 7.45 mm and total weight of 155 grams (including battery).
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V4.2 BLE, USB Type-C, GPS/GLONASS, NFC and 3.5mm audio jack.
It also includes Gravity Sensor, Light Sensor, Distance, Infrared, Fingerprint Sensor, Hall Sensor Gyro and Compass.
The Huawei Honor 9 price starts at 2299 Yuan (US$ 338 / Rs. 21,780) for 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM variant. The Honor 9 with 6GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage are priced at 2799 Yuan (US$ 412 / Rs. 26,530 ) and 2999 Yuan (US$ 441/ Rs. 28,420) respectively. The mobile comes in Charm Sea Blue, Seagull Gray and Amber Gold color options.
