Huawei Maimang 5 with 4G LTE, 5.5-Inch 1080p Display, 16MP camera launched

Huawei has launched its latest smartphone in China called the Maimang 5. It will be called as Huawei G9 when it launches in global markets.
The smartphone has dimensions of 151.8 x 75.7 x 7.3 mm, weighs 160 grams and sports unibody full metal design. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Huawei’s EMUI 4.1 on top. It has Fingerprint sensor on the back for added security.
The Maimang 5 specs include 5.5-Inch IPS LCD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, 401ppi pixel density and comes with 2.5D glass.  Under the hood is 2GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU.
It comes in 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage options, both expandable using MicroSD card. The mobile packs in 3340 mAh battery and is claimed to provide 22 hours talk time and 800 hours of standby.

The Huawei Maimang 5 features a 16MP primary camera on the back with LED flash, Sony IMX298 Sensor, F/2.0 Aperture, 6P lens, OIS, PDAF and records 4K / 1080p videos. On the front is 8MP selfie camera that takes quality pictures as well.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE with VoLTE(via hybrid dual nano SIM slots), 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.1, USB 2.0 Type-C, USB OTG, GPS/A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack etc.

The Huawei Maimang 5 is priced at 2399 Yuan ($359 / €322) for 3G RAM variant and comes in Champagne Gold and Moonlight Silver colours. The 4GB RAM model is priced at  2599 Yuan ($389 / €349) and will be available in Rose Gold and Champagne Gold colours.
The smartphone is up for registrations and will go on sale from July 21, 2016. Release dates for Huawei G9 / Maimang 5 in global markets were not revealed.
