Huawei Mate 40E unveiled in China with Kirin 990E SoC

Huawei expands its Mate 40 Series Lineup with the launch of Mate 40E 5G smartphone. It comes with Hybrid Dual Nano SIM slots and has support for 5G (SA/NSA) ad Dual 4G VoLTE.

The Huawei Mate 40E specs include 6.5-inch OLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and offers 2376 x 1080 pixels resolution. The device also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor for fast and secure authentication.

The mobile itself has dimensions of 158.6 x 72.5 x 8.8 mm and has weight of 188 grams. It houses a 4200mAh (typ) battery and supports 40W Huaweri SuperCharge Wire/Wireless charging.

The Mate 40E from Huawei houses octa-core (2.86GHz A76 x 1 + 2.36GHz A76 x 2 + 1.95GHz A55 x 4) Huawei Kirin 99E 5G processor with ARM Mali-G76 GPU and Big + Tiny core NPUs.

The cellphone sports 8GB RAM and has 128GB / 256GB storage options. It has NM card support for further expansion up to 256GB. The device comes pre-installed with Android 10 with EMUI 11.

The Huawei Mate 40E 5G features in 13MP selfie camera with F/2.4 Aperture. At the back side are 64MP (main, Leica optics, F/1.9) + 16MP (Ultra-wide, F/2.2) + 8MP (Telephoto, 3x Optical zoom, OIS) triple cameras with LED Flash.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.2 LE, USB Type C 3.1, GPS(l1+l5)/A-GPS/GLONASS/Beidou/NavIC and NFC support.

The Huawei Mate 40E 128GB model price is 4599 ($705 / Rs. 51,340 approx.) while its 256GB storage model costs 5099 Yuan ($783 / Rs. 57,130 approx.). It comes in Black, White and Mystic Silver colors. Pre-orders have already commenced at Vmall and selling with start from March 18th.
