Huawei at a dedicated event in Germany has announced its latest flagship phone called Mate 9. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS with Emotion UI 5.0 out of the box and supports Google Daydream VR as well.
The phone features an uni-body aluminum design. It has dimensions of 156.9 x 78.9 x 7.9 mm and weighs about 190 grams. It has fingerprint sensor on the back side that provides additional security.
The Huawei Mate 9 Specs include 5.9-Inch 2.5D curved glass display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It has 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution at 373ppi pixel density. The screen gives 96% NTSC color saturation and 1500:1 high contrast.
Under the hood is an Octa-Core (2.4GHz A73 x 4 + 1.8GHz A53 x 4) Huawei Kirin 960 processor coupled with i6 co-processor and Mali-G71 MP8 Octa-Core GPU. The phone has 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in ROM, further expandable up to 256GB using MicroSD card
The Mate 9’s MHA-L29 variant has hybrid dual SIM slots of which SIM 2 slot doubles up for microSD Card. The MHA-L09 is a Single SIM variant with dedicated MicroSD card slot. It has 4000 mAh battery with fast charging capabilities.
The smartphone is equipped with 8MP front facing auto focus camera with F/1.9 Aperture. On the back is a 20MP monochrome camera plus a 12MP secondary RGB camera . Primary camera features include BSI CMOS sensors, F/2.2 Aperture, 2X Hybrid Zoom, OIS, 4-in-1 Hybrid Auto Focus (PDAF + CAF + Laser + Depth), 4K video recording and dual-tone LED Flash.
