Huawei’s latest Nova Series phones are out. Company has just announced Nova 5 and Nova 5 Pro smartphones in China.
They have dimensions of 157.4 x 74.8 x 7.33 mm and weighs 171 grams. These come with in-display fingerprint sensor and houses Hybrid Dual Nano SIM slots (supports NM card for expansion).
Both of these smartphones feature in Gradient 3D Glass back and run on Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9.1.1 on top. They pack in a 3500 mAh (Typical) / 3400 mAh (minimum) battery and supports 40W Huawei SuperCharge fast charging.
The Huawei Nova 5 and Nova 5 Pro specifications include 6.39-inch multi-touch OLED display with 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution and delivers 108% DCI-P3 color gamut.
The Huawei Nova 5 features in Kirin 810 (2.27GHz Cortex-A76 x 2 + 1.88GHz Cortex-A55 x 6) octa-core chipset with ARM Mali-G52 MP6 (820MHz) GPU. It has 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB storage option. The ROM is further expandable up to 256GB using MicroSD card.
The Huawei Nova 5 pro specs include octa-core (2.6GHz Cortex-A76 x 2 + 1.92GHz Cortex-A76 x 2 + 1.8GHz Cortex-A55 x 4) Kirin 980 processor with ARM Mali-G760 MP10 (720MHz) GPU. It has 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB / 256GB storage options (expandable up to 256GB).
These come with 32MP front camera with F/2.0 Aperture. At the back side is Quad Camera setup with LED flash. Rear shooters makes up of 48MP (main, F/1.8) + 16MP (Ultra-Wide-Angle, F/2.2) + 2MP (4cm Macro Lens) + 2MP (Depth sensor, F/2.4) shooters. They also support PDAF and CAF.
Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth v5.0 LE, USB Type-C, USB Type-C audio and GPS/GLONASS. The Nova 5 Pro also packs in NFC.
The Huawei Nova 5 8GB/128GB price is 2799 Yuan (US$ 407 / Rs. 28,340 approx.). It comes in Black, Green and Purple colors. The handset will be up for order in China from July 13 and will start selling from July 20th.
The Huawei Nova 5 Pro 8GB/128GB price goes at 2999 Yuan (US$ 436 / Rs. 30,360 approx.) while the 8GB/256GB model is priced slightly higher at 3399 Yuan (US$ 495 / Rs. 34,400 approx.). It comes in shades of Black, Purple, Orange and Green. The smartphone is up for order in China starting today itself. It will start selling from July 28th.
